KRISHA Marie Gan Badillo of West Visayas State University (WVSU) and Klarence Razon Alovera of Iloilo Doctors’ College (IDC) of Medicine have made it to the top 10 in the March 2025 Physician Licensure Examination held on March 30 to 31 and April 6 to 7, 2025.
Badillo ranked fifth with a rating of 86.50 percent, while Alovera secured the 10th spot with a score of 85.50 percent. A total of 1,901 examinees passed the exam.
Badillo previously topped the 2018 Physical Therapist Licensure Examination and graduated as salutatorian of the WVSU College of Medicine Batch 2023-Amare et Servitium Patriae.
IDC of Medicine honored Alovera's success, expressing its gratitude for her dedication and wishing her great success in her healthcare career.
WVSU–La Paz or Main Campus recorded a 100 percent passing rate for first-time takers and an overall performance of 88.57 percent, well above the national average of 49.70 percent.
IDC of Medicine posted a 76.92 percent passing rate for first-time takers and a total performance of 60.78 percent.
Separately, WVSU Main Campus announced that 4,784 out of 10,496 applicants qualified to proceed to the next stage of the undergraduate admission process for academic year 2025–2026. This represents a passing rate of approximately 45.58 percent, slightly lower than last year’s 49.14 percent.
The WVSU admission exam was conducted on March 9 across campuses within the WVSU system.
The subsequent stages of admission will be administered by individual colleges or programs, typically including examinations and interviews. (Leo Solinap)
