ONE senatorial candidate and four party-list organizations comprise the initial filers of the statements of contributions and expenditures (Soce) related to the recently concluded May 2025 midterm polls.
The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said only five Soces have been submitted by national candidates, as of May 29.
Lawyer Vic Rodriguez was the lone senatorial bet who filed his Soce on May 23.
As for party-list organizations, having filed their respective Soces are Abono, Abante Pangasinan-Ilokano (API), 1-Pacman, and Partido Demokratiko Sosyalista ng Pilipinas (PDSP).
All candidates, political parties, and party-list groups are required to file their Soces 30 days from the date of elections, or until June 11, 2025.
According to the Comelec-Political Finance and Affairs Department, the submission of Soce may be done during weekdays, including Saturdays and holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
"Any Soce filed beyond the deadline shall not be accepted," said the poll body.
It said all Soces shall be filed in the prescribed number of hard copies accompanied by a soft/electronic copy (PDF and Excel format).
The Comelec said submissions via registered mail, electronic mail, courier, or messenger services shall not be allowed and accepted.
"The notarized Soce shall be personally signed by the candidate, or by the party treasurer of political party and party-list," said the Comelec. (Anton Banal/SunStar Philippines)
