

TWO individuals were killed in a plane crash in Lingayen, Pangasinan Sunday morning, March 30, 2025.
In a report, the Lingayen police said the Cessna 152 with Registry No. RPC-8595, an aircraft of Pilipinas Space and Aviation Academy Inc., crash landed in a swampy area in the east portion of the Lingayen Airport after experiencing engine failure.
The aircraft pilot, identified as Captain Nikko Manogan, and student pilot Bryan Allen Ocang were declared dead by an attending physician at a hospital.
The incident is the fourth aircraft crash recorded in the country since January.
On February 1, a 25-year-old female pilot died in a helicopter crash in Nueva Ecija.
Four individuals, including a US military service member and three defense contractors, also died when a private airplane crash-landed on a farm in Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur, on February 6.
On March 4, a Philippine Air Force FA-50 fighter jet crash-landed in the Kalatungan mountains of Bukidnon shortly after midnight during a tactical night operation in support of ground troops. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
