

OVER two million ballots are set to be printed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) for the forthcoming Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE).
In a phone interview, Comelec Spokesman John Rex Laudiangco said that around 2.2 million official ballots will be printed in time for the October 13 polls.
"Ang official ballots po ay humigit kumulang na 2.2 million, kasama na po ang Final Testing and Sealing ballots," said Laudiangco.
(The official ballots total approximately 2.2 million, including those for the Final Testing and Sealing.)
He said they are looking to begin ballot printing within the month.
"Wala pa pong exact date (of start) pero ito na pong August ang simula at pagtatapos," said the poll official.
(There is no exact start date yet, but the beginning and end will both take place this August.)
He said they expect the ballot printing process to run for only a few days.
"Halos isang linggo lamang po ang kinakailangan para maimprenta ang kabuoang bilang ng balota," said Laudiangco.
(It will only take about a week to print the total number of ballots.)
