Agri Party-list representative Wilbert Lee backs out of Senate bid

AGRI Party-list representative Wilbert Lee withdrew on Monday, February 10, 2025, from the senatorial race for the 2025 midterm elections.

In a statement, Lee said he made the decision after realizing that he does not have sufficient political machinery to sustain the campaign.

“Sa pag-iikot ko po sa ating bansa, napagtanto ko na hindi sapat ang makinarya na mayroon po tayo ngayon para maabot ang lahat ng ating mga kababayan upang mapakilala at maipaalam ang aking mga ipinaglalabang adbokasiya,” Lee said.

Lee said he will continue to support the advocacies of the Agri Party-list amid its reelection bid, especially on pushing for cheaper quality healthcare and other government services. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
