THE Philippines’ leading carrier Cebu Pacific (CEB) is adding more international routes back to its network, resuming service to destinations including Nagoya, Osaka, and Taipei starting August.
Weekly flights between Nagoya and Manila have restarted on August 3 and will increase to twice weekly starting August 14.
Beginning August 16, twice weekly operations to Osaka will resume every Monday and Saturday.
Manila to Taipei flights will resume on August 18, while flights to Hong Kong will restart on August 22.
“While only essential travels are allowed to and from international destinations now, we want to remind everyJuan to have their travel requirements ready for a hassle-free journey,” said Candice Iyog, vice president for Marketing and Customer Experience of Cebu Pacific. “As this is a developing situation, it is best to check with travel regulations imposed at destinations.”
Passengers are advised to regularly check for updates and advisories on the travel requirements for any international destination via bit.ly/CEBTravel-Docs. A negative RT-PCR test result is a requirement on top of a pre-booked quarantine in accredited facilities upon arrival.
Guests flying to Hong Kong must present a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours before time of departure, and a confirmed booking with a minimum of 21-day reservation in a Hong Kong quarantine hotel, and a filled out HKG Department of Health Online Declaration form. Passengers allowed to board for Japan are limited to Japanese nationals, foreign nationals with Re-Entry Permit or Japan Residence Card ID, and foreign seamen who have not been to the United Kingdom or South Africa in the past 14 days.
They must present a negative RT-PCR test result issued within 72 hours before departure; and a written pledge to quarantine for 14 days. Before the flight, all guests are also required to install and register to MySOS, Google Maps, and Cocoa (Covid-19 Contact Confirming Application) in compliance with the emergency and contact tracing protocols of Japan.
All arriving passengers will be subject to a Covid-19 test upon arrival and a 14-day quarantine at a location designated by the quarantine station chief. If they test negative at the airport and will not be using public transportation, they may also finish the 14-day quarantine in their own home or choice of accommodation. Only Taiwan nationals, foreign nationals (including Filipinos), and Hong Kong / Macao Residents / Mainland Chinese who are holders of Alien Resident Card (ARC) are allowed to enter Taiwan. Guests without an ARC will only be allowed to enter Taiwan if he/she has entry permission for emergency or humanitarian reasons.
Guests allowed to enter Taiwan must provide their negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test result taken within three days before departure, and the QR Code and screenshot of their registration to Taiwan’s Quarantine System for entry at least 48 hours before arrival.
Upon arrival, guests are required to undergo a 14-day quarantine on the guest’s account. Guests must arrange for their quarantine location prior to arrival and must follow other regulations and instructions from the Taiwan Center of Disease Control.
For passengers flying into the Philippines, foreign nationals are now allowed except for travelers departing from or who have been to these countries in the past 14 days before scheduled arrival -- India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates. Travel restrictions for these countries shall remain in effect until August 15, 2021.
Filipino repatriates coming from these countries are required to present a negative RT-PCR result, taken 48 hours before boarding and must quarantine for 14 days.
Passengers must also register for One Health Pass through the website: https://www.onehealthpass.com.ph/e-HDC/. Upon completion, each passenger will be issued a Personal QR Code, which must be presented upon check-in for the flight at origin, and upon arrival in Manila. Requirements may change from time to time without prior notice. It is strongly advised that guests check with the local government unit of desired destination for the latest updates.
