WITH the commencement of the minimum wage determination process in Central Visayas, the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) 7 has vowed to make it transparent and inclusive.
In a statement, the Central Visayas wage board said it will consider all positions of the labor, management, and government stakeholders regarding the prevailing minimum wage rate in the region.
"We will ensure transparency, inclusivity, and tripartism in the wage-setting process, by allowing affected sectors to express their sentiments on the prevailing socio-economic conditions in Central Visayas," said the RTWPB 7.
"All positions and recommendations to be submitted during the hearings will be carefully considered in its deliberations," it added.
The Central Visayas wage board issued the assurance as it conducted the first public hearing on Monday, August 24, at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Lahug, Cebu City.
The second public hearing is set to be held on Tuesday, August 25, at the Bethel Guest House in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
The final two public hearings are set on September 3 and 4 at The Bellavista Hotel in Pusok, Lapu-Lapu City and One Central Hotel in Cebu City, respectively.
