THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) is giving candidates and political parties participating in the October 13 Bangsamoro Parliamentary Elections (BPE) until August 18 to register their online campaign platforms.
In a social media post, the Comelec said the period to register online campaign platforms has been given an additional five days from the original August 13 deadline.
"The online campaign platforms registration in relation to the 2025 BPE is extended to August 18, including weekends and holidays," said the Comelec.
The poll body said the online registration form will be open to receive responses 24 hours a day until August 18 at 11:59 p.m.
Hardcopies may be submitted to the Task Force KKK sa Halalan from Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until August 18.
All official social media accounts and pages, websites, podcasts, blogs, vlogs, and other online and internet-based campaign platforms of candidates and parties participating in the BPE must be duly registered with the Comelec.
There are around 100 candidates for district representatives, and seven participating RPPPs for the October 13 polls.
Data from the Comelec showed that only 29 candidates and political parties have filed their applications for the registration of their online campaign platforms.
These include 10 applications from Regional Parliamentary Political Parties (RPPPs), and 19 from candidates for district representatives. (Anton Banal/SunStar Philippines)
