THE Commission on Elections (Comelec) proclaimed on Monday, May 19, 2025, 52 winning party-lists in the May 12, 2025 national and local elections.
Topping the party-list race are the Akbayan, Duterte Youth and Tingog party-lists, which all secured three seats.
However, along with the Bagong Henerasyon party-list, which ranked 39th, the Comelec deferred the proclamation of Duterte Youth due to pending cases filed against them before the poll body, involving grave violations of election laws.
The National Board of Canvassers resolves to suspend the proclamation of two said party-lists until the speedy and judicious resolution of the petitions filed before the Clerk of Commission.
Securing two seats each in the 20th Congress in the lower chamber were the 4Ps, ACT-CIS and Ako Bicol party-lists, which ranked fourth, fifth and sixth.

Meanwhile, in a statement, the Duterte Youth and Bagong Henerasyon party-list groups slammed the Comelec over the suspension of their proclamation a few hours before the formal announcement of winning groups.
“It is not the fault of the Duterte Youth party-list if the Comelec did not dismiss that 'hao shiao case' (bogus) after its last hearing in 2019, and now Comelec is trying to subvert the votes of the Filipino People by delaying a proclamation scheduled today,” Duterte Youth said.
“This is definitely a grave abuse of discretion. Hayaan ninyo kami umupo, maging oposisyon, para hindi naman maging rubber stamp ang Kongreso,” it added.
The Bagong Henerasyon demands not only fairness but also respect for the vote, voice, and will of the Filipino people. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
