AS TROPICAL Storm Crising devastates a large part of Luzon, the Department of Health (DOH) has raised the "Code White Alert.”

In a social media post, the DOH announced the raising of the "Code White Alert" on Friday night, July 18, 2025.

"In preparation for the expected landfall of Typhoon Crising, the DOH has raised the Code White Alert at the DOH Operations Center (OpCen)," said the DOH.

Under the Code White Alert, the DOH OpCen is preparing medicines, medical equipment, and Health Emergency Response Teams for regions expected to be affected by the storm.

Similarly, it assured that the national emergency hotline 911 and local emergency hotlines have been placed standby for those in need of assistance.

On Saturday, Crising continued to bring moderate to torrential rain in different parts of the country.

"Crising" is currently inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) but is expected to exit within the day.  (Anton Banal/SunStar Philippines)
