ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives arrested three drug suspects who yielded P136 million worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) on Wednesday, July 22, 2020.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said Yao Yuan, Piao Hong and Israel Ambulo were arrested during a drug bust in Quezon City Circle at around 2 p.m. on July 22.
Recovered from the suspects were 20 packs of yellow tea bags labeled with Chinese characters.
These contained white crystalline substance weighing around one kilogram each with a total estimated street price of P136 million.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo/SunStar Philippines)
