Cessna plane goes missing in Cagayan

ANOTHER Cessna plane has gone missing in the vicinity of Cagayan on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

UPDATE: 2 confirmed dead as missing Cessna plane found

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) said Cessna 152 plane (RPC-8598) took off from Laoag City at 12:16 p.m. and was expected to land at the Tuguegarao airport.

On board the plane were Captain Edzel John Lumbao Tabuzo, the pilot, and Anshum Rajkumar Konde, an Indian student pilot. The Caap said the plane could have possibly crashed within the municipality of Alcala, Cagayan, which is the last known position of the aircraft.

It said the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Philippine Air Force, Philippine Army, and the Philippine Coast Guard is already conducting search and rescue operations. (SunStar Philippines)
