Coronavirus cases pass 535,000

THE Department of Health (DOH) on Saturday, February 6, 2021, recorded 1,941 new cases of coronavirus infection, bringing the cumulative cases in the Philippines past 535,000.

As of 4 p.m. February 6, there were a total of 535,521 confirmed cases in the country.

Of this number, 35,946 or 6.7 percent were active cases.

There were an additional 52 mortalities, raising the death toll to 11,110. The death fatality rate remained at 2.07 percent.

Total recoveries reached 488,465, including the 234 reported on Saturday. (HDT / SunStar Philippines)
