WITH Filipinos expected to visit churches this Holy Week, the Department of Health (DOH) reminds the public to avoid smoking and using vape products during religious activities.
In a social media post, the DOH said the public must avoid cigarettes and vape products while visiting churches and religious establishments.
"Let us keep churches and their surroundings safe from cigarettes and vaping," said the DOH.
The DOH said cigarette and vape smoke may divert the attention of the public visiting churches.
"Aside from being a distraction from prayer, vaping and cigarettes are also a threat to health," said the DOH.
The department called on the public to devote time to prayer and reflection.
"We must prioritize silence, solemnity, and sincere prayer this Holy Week," said the DOH.
