THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) filed Wednesday, March 27, administrative charges against a governor and over 50 mayors for their failure to organize and activate anti-drug abuse councils (Adacs) in their areas of responsibility.
DILG Assistant Secretary Ricojudge Echiverri led the filing of charges in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act before the Office of the Ombudsman.
Tawi-Tawi Governor Rashidin Matba is the only governor facing the charges, while the mayors charged are from the following localities:
