ANTI-NARCOTICS operatives arrested on Monday, March 4, a woman who yielded at least P14 million worth of party drugs in a condominium in Quezon City.
National Capital Region Police Office Chief Guillermo Eleazar said joint elements of regional drugs enforcement unit and Quezon City Police District, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, conducted a drug bust around 8:30 a.m. in a condominium unit on Xavierville Avenue, Barangay Loyola Heights, which resulted in the arrest of Evette Magallanes Tividad, 39.
He said a poseur buyer was able to buy from Tividad 100 pieces of ecstasy tablets worth P100,000.
Recovered during the operation were 3,500 pieces of ecstasy tablets with an estimated street value of P 5.25 million, 2.5 kilos of high grade marijuana with street value of P3.75 million and 25 liters of liquid ecstasy worth P5 million.
Eleazar said Tividad may be one of the major suppliers of party drugs in Metro Manila, considering the number of illegal contraband seized from her condo unit.
“Arrested person is a member of criminal gang engaged in the drug trafficking operating in the whole areas of Metro Manila. She was placed under surveillance for a period of one month until finally arrested to stop her criminal activities,” Eleazar said. (SunStar Philippines)
