PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr. has ordered the reshuffle of some senior police officials, including two key positions in the command group.

General Michael John Dubria, chief of the directorial staff (TCDS), made a step forward after he was assigned by Acorda as the new deputy chief for operation, the PNP's third highest official.

Dubria replaced Major General Jonnnel Estomo, who was reassigned as director of the Directorate for Plans, succeeding Major General Bernard Banac, who was named as chief of Directorate for Information and Communications Technology Management (DICTM).

Banac replaced Major General Valeriano De Leon, who retired from the service on May 7.

Taking Dubria’s post as the TCDS, the fourth top post in the police organization is Major General Emmanuel Peralta, chief of the Directorate for Operations (DO).

Brigadier General Leo Francisco, regional director of Police Region Office (PRO)-Western Visayas, will replace Peralta.

The revamp is effective Monday, May 8, 2023. (SunStar Philippines)
