THE Philippine National Police (PNP) has released over P8 billion for the year-end bonus and cash gift of its personnel, PNP chief General Dionardo Carlos said on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
Carlos said the funds have been credited to the individual payroll of police personnel on November 18.
The year-end bonus is equivalent to one month's basic pay while the cash gift is prorated at P5,000, subject to the guidelines in reference to Fiscal Directive Number 2016-16 “Payment of Year-End Bonus and Cash Gift for FY 2016 and Years Thereafter.”
Year- and mid-end bonuses and cash gifts exceeding P90,000 were taxable, said Carlos.
For police personnel with pending administrative cases, the release of year-end bonuses and cash gifts were deferred.
