FOLLOWING the Holy Week break, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume voter registration activities across the country on Tuesday, April 7.

In a social media post, the Comelec said voter registration will resume April 7 as the poll body joins the nation in observing the Holy Week.

"Regular office transactions will resume on April 7, 2026 (Tuesday)," said the Comelec.

Voter registration activities remain suspended until Sunday, April 5, due to the Holy Week observance. The Commission also adopted a work-from-home arrangement for all Mondays of April, including April 6, as part of energy-saving and cost-cutting measures.

"Voter registration and issuance of voter's certification are suspended on these dates," said the Comelec.

Data shows there are 3,602,534 applications for voter registration received across all regions from Oct. 20 to March 28. The voter registration period nationwide, except in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), began Oct. 20, 2025, and will run until May 18, 2026.
