SEVEN individuals were stabbed to death by a lone suspect in Antipolo, Rizal on Tuesday morning, April 22, 2025.
In a report reaching Camp Crame, the Antipolo City police said the incident happened in a bakery in Barangay Cupang.
The suspect, identified as alis “Bogart,” surrendered to the police and confessed his involvement in the murder of the seven victims.
In an interview with the media, the suspect said he killed his co-workers because they are planning to murder him.
“Nakapanlaban sila kaso madilim, pinatay ko ‘yung ilaw. Lumaban naman ‘yung isa sa akin ‘yung nasa kuwarto. Lahat sila lumaban kaso lamang ako kasi ako ‘yung nakahawak ng kutsilyo,” the suspect said.
(They tried to fight back, but it was dark — I turned off the light. One of them in the room fought back against me. They all tried to resist, but I had the upper hand because I was the one holding the knife.)
“Wala naman sila kutsilyo kaya bawat lapit nila sa akin tamaan tapos ‘yung nahiga sila lahat doon ko pinalo ‘yung gumagalaw pa. Kung hindi lang sana nila ako pinagplanuhan patayin sa unan para ipaano nila sa asawa ko na namatay sa bangungot, hindi sana nangyari,” he added.
(They didn’t have knives, so every time they got close to me, I struck them. Then when they all lay down, I hit the ones who were still moving. If only they hadn’t planned to kill me using a pillow — to make it look like I died from a nightmare — none of this would’ve happened.)
