

THE low pressure area (LPA) being monitored in the eastern portion of Aurora, within the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), has developed into a tropical depression.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that as of 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Tropical Depression “Dante” was located at 1,120 kilometers (km) east of northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gusts of 55km/h.
Dante was moving north northwestward at 20 km/h.
Tropical cyclone bulletins concerning Dante will be issued beginning at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, said Pagasa.
The entire Luzon is currently being battered by heavy rainfall brought about by habagat, or southwest monsoon. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
