PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed concerned government agencies to ensure the safe, immediate and orderly repatriation of Filipinos in Israel.

In a statement, Marcos said there were around 200 Filipinos in Israel who requested repatriation amid the rising tensions between Israel and Iran.

“We are moving quickly to bring them home,” he said.

“Upon arrival in the Philippines, they will receive immediate support — including P150,000 in assistance, accommodation, transport, and livelihood support with training vouchers to help them recover and start again,” he added.

The government through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) raised Alert Level 3 in Israel and Iran, which calls for voluntary repatriation.

While undergoing the repatriation process, the chief executive said food packs and financial assistance have already been provided to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), many of whom are staying at the government’s Migrant Workers Office hostel, with additional space available if needed.

As of June 23, the Philippine Embassy in Israel said that eight Filipinos sustained injuries from Iran’s missile attacks in which seven were already discharged while one remains in a critical condition.

Marcos said the Philippine government is continuously monitoring the condition of the OFW caregiver, who is in a critical condition after her house was hit by an airstrike.

“We continue to monitor our OFW caregiver, who remains in the hospital, stable but still on oxygen support and a ventilator. We are in touch with her family and are making sure she gets the care she needs,” he said.

Marcos assured continued government assistance for Filipinos who choose to stay home for good, including skills training, job matching, startup capital, and support to start a small business or explore new opportunities.

“I urge our fellow Filipinos to coordinate with our embassies in Tel Aviv and Tehran. Please follow their guidance, inform them of your situation, and do not hesitate to ask for assistance,” he said.

“Your government continues to act and is ready to serve to protect your safety and well-being. Nothing is more important than the safety of ever Filipino,” he added.

From October 7, 2023 to June 12, 2025, a total of 1,333 Filipinos were repatriated from Israel.
