AGENTS of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) have arrested a woman in Marilao, Bulacan for allegedly engaging in online sexual exploitation of five children, one of whom is her niece.
The NBI-Violence Against Women and Children Division (VAWCD) identified the suspect only as “Tisay.”
She was apprehended on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, for violating the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act, the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children law, and the Anti-Child Abuse Law.
The operation stemmed from a referral by the United States Homeland Security Investigation, which linked Philippine phone numbers to child exploitation activities following the arrest of an American in Massachusetts.
Investigators said the suspect was involved in offering sexually explicit content of minors and sending exploitative materials to foreign predators.
Authorities seized several gadgets during the raid.
The rescued victims are now under the custody of the Marilao Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office for care and intervention.
NBI Director Jaime Santiago lauded the agents for the successful operation. (JGS/SunStar Philippines)
