RUNNING has the power to bring people together, but Run To Share 2025 went even further -- a movement that promoted both personal well-being and a life-saving mission. Gathering more than 600 participants at the Ayala Triangle, Makati, the event was dedicated to raising funds and awareness for children battling cancer. Every participant contributed to providing essential blood transfusions, making a real difference with every step.
Running for a purpose
Run To Share 2025 was organized by the I Want To Share Foundation, a charity dedicated to advocating for early childhood cancer detection and treatment. The event marked the launch of the foundation’s year-long awareness campaign, uniting communities for a meaningful cause. It successfully generated P1 million in donations to support pediatric cancer patients.
For a minimal fee, participants chose between the 3K run and the 5K run with all proceeds directed to the pediatric cancer patients in partnership with UP-Philippine General Hospital’s Pedia Hema-Onco Division.
Around 75 percent of children battling cancer are diagnosed with leukemia, and many of them rely on blood transfusions as part of their treatment. Each registration for Run to Share equaled to one blood bag donation for a child in need.
Celebrities like Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Julia Barretto and Kim Chiu joined the throng of runners together with VIPs and IWTS Board of Trustees Milka Romero and JP Mallo, among others, to support the foundation’s pediatric patients. VIPs, kids and furbabies also participated, completing the fun-filled Sunday weekend.
Exciting freebies and raffle prizes
Participants also got the chance to win amazing prizes, including a Magic Bullet from Nutribullet, Ray-Ban sunglasses from Vision Express, and exclusive treatments from Avignon Clinic and Travertin.
To call it a successful event is an understatement. See you next year at Run to Share 2026!
