OPM legend Hajji Alejandro, 70, has passed away.
This was confirmed by Alejandro’s family, according to his manager, GR Rodis, on Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
“At this time, we kindly ask for privacy as our family grieves this tremendous loss…We appreciate your understanding and support during this time,” the statement read.
Alejandro’s girlfriend, Alynna Velasquez, earlier said that the singer had been battling stage 4 colon cancer since early this year.
He underwent an operation in February.
Alejandro was known for his songs “Kay Ganda ng Ating Musika,” “Nakapagtataka,” “Panakip Butas,” “Tag-araw, Tag-ulan” and “May Minamahal.” (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
