A PHOTOJOURNALIST died while covering the Traslacion 2026, part of the Feast of the Black Nazarene, on Friday, January 9, 2026.
Based on a report from the Manila Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Itoh Son, 55, who worked for the tabloid Saksi, was rushed to the hospital at around 3 a.m. after suffering a heart attack.
He was declared dead by a physician at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
