THE Philippine National Police (PNP) Officers’ Ladies Club Foundation (PNP-OLCF) held a medical mission on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, across all police regional offices in the country, which aims to help PNP personnel as well as their dependents with health concerns and serious illnesses.

During the medical mission, which is part of the PNP-OLCF’s “Love and Blessing” Virus (LAB Virus) program, in partnership with the Cardinal Santos Medical Center, PNP personnel and their dependents were given free physical and dental checkups and medicines.

The foundation prioritizes those facing critical illnesses like chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cancer—constituting about 80 percent of their beneficiaries.

It also includes optical and pulmonary consultation, prostate and upper respiratory examination, mammogram and even free circumcision for the sons of police personnel.

It also provides PNP personnel with cash and other forms of assistance.

Mary Rose Marbil, wife of recently retired PNP Chief General Rommel Marbil and the national adviser of the PNP-OLC, said the mission not only aims to extend help but to instill hope and provide invaluable assistance to critically ill policemen and their dependents.

She said the LAB Virus demonstrates the importance of community support and the power of small acts of kindness to make a significant difference in the lives of others.

Since the launch of the LAB Virus program in July 2024, 600 PNP personnel and their dependents have been assisted with their medical needs.

The PNP-OLCF is seeking donors that would help them continue their cause for the PNP members and their families. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
