VICE President Sara Duterte is back in the country after almost a month in the Netherlands, where she attended to her detained father, former President Rodrigo Duterte (FPRRD).
In a statement, the Office of the Vice President said Duterte arrived in the country via Emirates Airlines flight no. EK 334 on the evening of Sunday, April 6.
It said Duterte is expected to address all pertinent matters in the coming days.
Duterte followed FPRRD in the Hague, Netherlands following his arrest on the orders of the International Criminal Court (ICC) amid its investigation of the alleged crime against humanity in the country during the implementation of his drug war, which resulted in the killing of over 6,000 individuals allegedly involved in illegal drugs trade.
The Vice President earlier said she will only go back home once FPRRD’s legal team is already completed and if there is another relative who will attend to the needs of the patriarch. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
