AN OFFICIAL of the Vatican on Saturday, July 19, 2025, called on Filipinos to pray for and help those affected by Tropical Storm Crising, which is affecting a large part of Luzon.
Speaking at the 11th Philippine Conference on New Evangelization (PCNE) being held in Manila, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle asked the faithful to pray for those feeling the wrath of "Crising.”
"Let us pray for our brothers and sisters, who are currently experiencing difficult situations due to the typhoon, the rain, and the floods," said Tagle.
He also asked everybody to offer their assistance for those who are in need amid the calamity.
"Let us not abandon them," said Tagle.
On Saturday, Crising continued to bring moderate to torrential rain in different parts of the country.
Tagle is currently in the country for the three-day PCNE being held at the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila. (Anton Banal/SunStar Philippines)
