THE National Capital Region (NCR) Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) has approved a P50 increase in the daily minimum wage.
In a statement, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) said the NCR-RTWPB approved Wage Order No. NCR-26, which sets the new minimum wage rates in the region at P695 for non-agriculture workers, and P658 for those in agriculture; retail and service establishments with 15 or fewer employees; and manufacturing firms with fewer than 10 regular workers.
The order will take effect starting July 18, 2025, benefiting around 1.2 million minimum wage earners in Metro Manila.
The DOLE said this is the highest increase ever approved by NCR's RTWPB. (TPM/SunStar Philippines)
