Wage hearings set for Central Visayas

THE Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board in Central Visayas (RTWPB 7) is set to hold four public hearings for the possible minimum wage adjustment for workers in the region.

In its notice, the RTWPB 7 said the hearings have been set this month in different parts of the region.

"Notice is hereby given to the public that the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board - Region VII will conduct a series of public hearings on minimum wage determination for private workers and domestic workers," it said.

The first of three public hearings for private workers is set on August 19 at 1 p.m. at the DepEd Ecotech Center in Cebu City.

The next one is on August 28 at 8 a.m. at the Bethel Guest House in Dumaguete City.

On August 29 at 8 a.m., the last public hearing for private workers will be held at The MetroCentre Hotel and Convention Center in Tagbilaran City.

The public hearing for domestic workers, meanwhile, is set on August 31 at 1 p.m. at the Anjo World Convention Center in Minglanilla, Cebu.

Parties interested to participate in the public hearings are advised to register online via bit.ly/2025R7PublicHearing.

They may also submit their position papers at the RTWPB 7 office in Cebu City or via email at rb7@nwpc.dole.gov.ph.
