A TOTAL of 150 personnel of the Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group (PAIDSOTG) underwent a random drug testing at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noppo) yesterday.
These personnel first attended a conference on strengthening measures and intensifying campaigns against illegal drug activities in the province, and without any knowledge, they were then immediately subjected to drug testing.
Senior Superintendent Noel Nacion, Noppo officer-in-charge said, before catching those who are into illegal drug use and sale, “the credibility should start first within the police force and authorities, the one implementing the law.”
“We want to conduct internal cleansing so that the public could really see and feel our sincerity to our campaign,” Nacion added.
The drug test result is expected to come out this week. Nacion said, adding that those who are found positive will be facing administrative and criminal charges and possibly be dismissed from service.
