Drug pusher, user arrested

TWO persons were nabbed in a buy-bust operation conducted by Valladolid Municipal Police Station at Barangay Tabao in Valladolid early morning of Tuesday.

The police identified the suspect as Armel Gomez, 41, the subject of the buy-bust, as the alleged pusher, and Rolan Macunan, the owner of the house where the buy-bust took place, as the alleged drug user.

Police recovered from Gomez's possession were 12 sachets of suspected shabu. Several drug paraphernalia were recovered from Macunan.

The police said those buying from Gomez are usually having pot session at the house of Macunan.

Drug charges will be filed against the two suspects.

Counterfeit

Meanwhile, a mother in Bago City was arrested Wednesday for allegedly using fake money.

The Bago City Police Station identified the suspect as Shella Jastiva, 46. She was accused by vendor Analiza Ambay for using fake P1, 000 bill in buying barbeque worth P145.

The police said the suspect showed resistance against arresting personnel and tried to escape by shouting "rape."

Jastiva said she was just defending herself from police personnel who allegedly maltreated her. The suspect said she will file charges against the police.

The suspect also claimed that she did not know that the money from her friend is counterfeit.

Charges of illegal possession and use of false treasury or bank notes and direct assault against the suspect will be filed against the suspect, the police said. (EPN)
