MANILA Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada's daughter Jerika Ejercito is now engaged to her Spanish triathlete boyfriend Miguel Aguilar Garcia.
The intimate proposal happened last April 12, during the couple's trip in Petra, Jordan.
Ejercito, the ex-president's daughter with former actress Laarni Enriquez, changed her relationship status to "engaged" two days later.
She also confirmed their engagement on Facebook.
"After messaging the closest of the closest (to avoid any violent reactions!) it is now safe for me to change my status. Yup, it's official, we are engaged," Ejercito wrote.
She said the proposal took place in Jordan, right next to the Dead Sea, and described it as "magical".
"Unfortunately, no photos or videos since it was literally just the two of us that night by the balcony on the beach."
The couple started dating in 2016, after Ejercito's four-year relationship with actor Bernard Palanca.
Ejercito and Palanca have a two-year-old son together. (SunStar Philippines)
