DELICIOUS traditional and modern bread recipes, along with the compelling stories behind them will show-off the third and last elimination round of baking competition to be held in Iloilo City on Friday, September 23 at St. Therese MTC Colleges, La Fiesta Hotel in Molo district.

Ten teams from top schools in Visayas, including Bacolod and Iloilo, will come together for the Iloilo leg of the Tinapay Natin Pinoy Bread Baking Competition showing off the rich culinary heritage through the skills of young Filipino bakers.

This competition, inspired by the Mahalin Pagkaing Atin movement and spearheaded by Pilmico in partnership with Max’s Corner Bakery (MCB), aims to inspire the youth to take part in honoring and revitalizing the Filipinos colorful bread culture.

The Iloilo leg of Pilmico and Max’s Corner Bakery’s Tinapay Natin Pinoy Bread Baking Competition will showcases the flavors and stories of Pan de Sal, Mamon, Ensaymada, Kababayan and other delicious traditional breads and modern bread recipes the Filipinos loved through the years.

Renowned celebrity chefs Jam Melchor, executive chef and owner of Healthy Eats Manila and proponent of Philippine Culinary Heritage Movement, and Ed Bugia, executive chef and partner of the Pinoy Group of Restaurants and Backyard Kitchen + Brew, will be on-site to determine which breads will make the cut.
