Man nabbed for illegal gun

A MAN who allegedly created alarm and scandal was arrested by the operatives of Police Station 1 at Purok Tulihaw, Barangay 10 in Bacolod City Wednesday afternoon.

The police identified the suspect as Stephen Parcon, 33.

Police record showed that during the arrest of the suspect, they recovered from him an improvised firearm called ‘sulpak’ loaded with 12 gauge shotgun ammunition.

The suspect is currently detained at the Police Station 1. He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 or illegal possession of firearms.

Meanwhile, a delivery boy was stabbed by one of the eight unidentified suspects after he was robbed in Barangay Don Jorge Araneta, Bago City, Wednesday.

Police identified the victim as Frankie Ballesteros of Purok Zone 2, Barangay Tabao in Valladolid. He was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Police said that the suspects approached the victim, who was about to deliver bread in the area, and declared a hold-up.

The suspects, who held the victim at knifepoint, carted away P4,000 cash. One of the suspects then stabbed the victim on his left chest and fled. (EPN)
