Woman dies in Asturias motorcycle accident

A 22-YEAR-OLD woman died after the motorcycle she was riding hit a concrete waiting shed on the national road in Barangay Owak, Asturias, Cebu around 2 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31.

Police identified the fatality as Jerahneil Aroa Dichos, who suffered injuries in the head and other parts of her body.

Dichos was the passenger of Laurito Nuñez Mariquit, who also suffered injuries.

Investigation showed that the two were drunk before the accident.

Both were rushed to Balamban District Hospital, but Dichos did not reach the hospital alive.

Mariquit was transferred to a hospital in Cebu City. (SunStar Cebu)
