11 nabbed in Naga, Bogo, Talisay raids

POLICE arrested three suspected drug pushers and eight alleged users in separate anti-narcotics operations in Consolacion and in the cities of Bogo, Talisay, and Naga last Saturday.

At 7:30 a.m., Joseph Mirambel Guevarra, 18, was caught in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sambag, Bogo City.

Seized from his possession were 24 sachets containing suspected shabu worth more than P11,000 and assorted drug paraphernalia.

Less than an hour earlier in Barangay Colon, Naga City, police caught James Ogario Alforque, 30, and seized three sachets of what appeared to be shabu from him.

Past 8 p.m., the serving of an arrest warrant led to the accidental arrest of six men who were about to start their pot session in Barangay Tanke, Talisay City.

Insp. Windell Abellana, the city police deputy chief, said the subject of the warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 21 Eric Menchavez is Elmer Gasalatan, an alleged drug pusher.

Abellana said they already cornered Gasalatan when the latter tried to escape by entering a drug den.

The operatives gave chase. They collared Gasalatan inside the den where six other men were waiting for shabu.

Abellana identified the suspected junkies as Kennette Sembrano, 30; Alberto Delos Santos, 42; Benjamin Alpuerto, 26; Elvin Aliasgo

Batiancela, 36; Alberto Bacalso; and Reynaldo Labajo, 39.

Three hours later, patrolling barangay tanods caught Junel Dayday, 43, and Danilo Capangpangan, 35, after they threw sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia to the ground.
