188 firemen recruits finish training

A TOTAL of 188 firemen recruits of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in Negros Island completed their training and Fire Basic Recruitment Course at the regional satellite training center in Pana-ad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent Alan Aladano, regional director of BFP-Western Visayas, who led the graduation rites Wednesday, February 7, said 105 recruits will be deployed to different fire stations in Western Visayas, particularly Negros Occidental, while the remaining 83 will be assigned to various stations in Negros Oriental and Cebu City.

He congratulated all the graduates and urged them to follow the Fire Code of the Philippines as they become members of the bureau.

Aladano warned them to never engage in any irregularity that may become grounds for their dismissal.

He also reminded the recruits to be responsible in their work as a public servant that ensures public safety.

In September 2017, 94 firemen recruits were also deployed to different fire stations in the province.

After the graduation ceremony, Aladano met with all fire marshals in the province.
