1st Philippine TBI Summit

SA Cebu ipahigayon ning buwana ang First Philippine Technology Business Incubator (TBI) Summit, usa ka nasudnong panagtapok sa country’s technology ug startup players sa pagpangita sa outstanding entrepreneurial ug innovation issues.

Giorganisar sa Innovation Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD) uban sa pag-abag sa University of the Philippines Cebu Campus, UP Cebu inIT, and TechTalks.ph, diin ang inaugural TBI summit gikatakda karong Nobiyembre 24, 2017 sa Victoria Hall, Cebu Parklane International Hotel.

“We look forward to seeing all Department of Science and Technology (DOST) funded incubators, other government innovation agencies, private incubators, and innovators at the First Philippine TBI Summit,” matod ni PCIEERD Executive Director Dr. Carlos Primo C. David.

Ang kalihokan abli sa publiko apan limitado lang. Kini mo- feature sa duha ka adlaw nga educational sessions, group discussions, networking, ug workshops sa partisipanteng incubators ug ubang stakeholders aron pagtabang sa pagtukod og kahigayonan sa panarbaho ug pamuhonan.

Sa unang adlaw, dunay pri­vate sessions sa DOST ug internal partners samtang sa Nobiyembre 24 conference abli kini sa publiko.

Ang keynote speakers pa­ngulohan ni DOST Secretary Fortunato Dela Pena nga mopaambit sa pagtukod og ecosystems sa innovations sa mga rehiyon pinaagi sa makahuluganon nga S&T initiatives.

Si DOST Usec. Rowena Cristina Guevara mohatag sa “DOST TBI Program: Generating Technopreneurs through Business Incubation” uban sa Department of Trade and Industry Usec. Nora Terrado’s keynote nga magtutok sa The Fablab as a Strategy to Capacitate Technopreneurs in the Region”.

Samtang, ang TechnoPark Malaysia’s Dr. Azra’I Shu’ib mamulong bahin sa Malaysia’s Journey towards Building 4th Generation TBIs and their ASEAN Cooperative Scheme in Business Incubation”.

Ang First Philippine TBI Summit mo-feature usab sa paglusad sa Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HeIRIT) program diin nga mohatag og platform sa pagdasig sa innovation ug entrepreneurial nga pagtubo.

“With the HeIRIT program, we hope to make the country’s leading universities and academic institutions into catalysts that help the country’s tech and startup ecosystem grow and develop,” matod ni HEIRIT Program Project Lea­der Prof. Nestor O. Raneses.

Usa ka memorandum of agreement ang pagalagdaan sa 20 ka university partners nga magsilbi nga TBI host institutions sa HeIRIT program.
