2 bodies of women recovered from M/V Catalyn B (12:02 p.m.)

MANILA--Two more bodies of women were recovered Tuesday from the ill-fated ship M/V Catalyn B, the coastguard said in a television interview.

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) said they recovered the bodies from the sunken ship in the waters off Limbones Island in Cavite province bringing it to 24 total bodies recovered.

PCG said the bodies are still to be identified and for the meantime these were sent to a funeral home in Caloocan City.

A total of 27 passengers were believed to have drowned after the sea mishap, authorities said.
