2 dead in hacking incidents

A FARMER and a laborer died in separate hacking incidents in Negros Occidental on November 2.

In San Carlos City, Juanito Palaran, 56, was hacked to death by his fellow farmers at Sitio Maanlud, Barangay Nataban.

Police identified the suspects as siblings Joemar and Jonathan Encabo, who voluntarily surrendered to the police.

In Kabankalan City, Celso Liño, 38, was shot and hacked to death by unidentified men at Sitio Pacao, Barangay Bantayan.

Liño was allegedly among the suspects who killed Nelson Sison, police records showed.

Revenge was the motive, investigation showed.(GYM)
