TWO suspected drug personalities were arrested in a drug bust in a subdivision in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City, around 12:50 a.m. on Wednesday, August 2.
The suspects were identified as Mae Mijares Abellana and her common-law husband Benjamin Sirmello Quisto yielded 15.08 grams of white crystals believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride or “shabu” worth P117,994.
rCity Drug Enforcement Unit Chief Narolf Tan said Abellana and Quisto have been listed as high-value targets, level one, considering their links with her relative Mark Abellana, who was caught on January 29.
Police said Mark had direct contacts to the Cebu City Jail and the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.
The involvement of Abellana and Quisto in the narcotics trade has been confirmed after three months of surveillance.
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Cebu)
