2 nabbed for illegal gambling

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- Local authorities here recently arrested two personalities who were caught in the act of dealing cards.

Superintendent Roland Agohob, the city’s police chief, identified the suspects as Felisa David, 58, and Aladino Mallari, 56, both residents of Barangay Sindalan.

David and Mallari were arrested in an anti-illegal gambling operation while they were playing “tong-its” at Masagana Street, Barangay Sindalan.

Tong-its is a three-player card game with a standard deck of 52 cards.

Confiscated from suspects' possession were P265 and a deck of playing cards.
