TWO party-list nominees have taken their respective oaths of office during Monday's plenary session at the House of Representatives.
They are Kabayan Party-list third nominee Ciriaco Calalang and Anak Mindanao (Amin) Party-list third nominee Amihilda Sangcopan.
The two took their oath before Deputy Speaker and Cebu 3rd Distict Rep. Gwendolyn Garcia.
Calalang replaced Harry Roque Jr., who now serves as President Rodrigo Duterte's spokesperson, while Sangcopan replaced Amin Rep. Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, who resigned last October.
Calalang is a law professor and a tax consultant.
He had previously worked at the Department of Budget and Management and at the Bureau of Internal Revenue.
Sangcopan, meanwhile, is a former chief of the Department of Agrarian Reform in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. (Keith Calayag/SunStar Philippines)
