THREE suspected drug personalities were caught on Wednesday night in separate drug busts in Cebu City and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental.

Operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Visayas seized 75.2 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as “shabu.”

The contraband has an estimated market value of more than P300,000.

At 10:50 p.m., Pauline Marie Palad, 19, and Ruel Carpela, 19, were arrested in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

Seized from them were 75 grams of shabu worth P375,000.

PDEA-Central Visayas information officer Leia Albiar said Carpela is the cousin of alleged big-time drug personality Alfiel Chu, who was caught in a beach resort in Barangay Union, San Francisco, Camotes on Thursday afternoon, February 8.

In Barangay Mangnao, Dumaguete City, PDEA caught Emmanuel Candido, 26, and seized 0.20 gram of shabu worth P1,000 from him.
