THREE men died at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, after they were buried in a landslide in Sitio Candiis, Barangay Sibago, Pinamungajan town, Cebu.
Police identified the fatalities as Feliciano Media, 56; Denis Artis, legal age; and Renerio Cabilin Jr., 40.
The incident was reported to the police station at 6:10 p.m. by Cabilin's father, Renerio Sr.
Investigation showed the victims were part of the ongoing construction of Bird Steel Poultry in Candiis.
Cabilin and Artis were welding the hole of the steel bar matting of a post when the soil collapsed on them.
Media, who was the contractor, tried to rescue his two employees, but he was also covered by the soil.
Other workers retrieved them and rushed them to Carmen Copper Corporation Hospital, but they were all declared dead. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
