THREE more policemen in Negros Island Region (NIR) allegedly link to illegal drugs will be relieved before Christmas Day.
This was confirmed to Sun.Star Bacolod on Tuesday by Chief Superintendent Renato Gumban, acting regional director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-18, after he met with Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, chief of Philippine National Police (PNP), in Camp Crame last December 8.
Gumban said the new “narco list” includes a commissioned officer and two non-commissioned officers.
The three will be transferred to Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), he added.
They will be added to the 28 policemen in the region who were already relieved and transferred to other police regional offices after the consistent inclusion of their names in the lists being validated by the PRO-Negros Island Region.
Last November, 19 non-commissioned officers and two commissioned officers were relieved and transferred to PRO-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao and PRO-Cordillera Administrative Region.
The 14 non-commissioned officers relieved effective November 28 were Senior Police Officer 4 Randy Rentillo, Senior Police Officer 2 Jo Raymund Eraula, Senior Police Officers 1 Fidel Alcoma, Joebert Benjamin and Joey Genterola, Police Officer 3 Lyle Canazares, Police Officers 2 Conrado Juguan III, Venjo Tortosa and Armar Mariano, Police Officers 1 Ivan Torch Irog, Jezreel Dalisay, Harvey Mash Tison, Raymar Geocadin, and Job Santander. All were personnel of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.
Before them, relieved were Chief Inspector Jose Mulleta of National Police Commission-NIR; Senior Inspector Gideon Montaño, then chief of Police Station 1 in Bacolod City; Police Officer 3 Dennis Ywayan, Police Officers 2 Ferdimark Peñaroyo, Jett Baloya, Jeffrey Toquero, and Amor Firmeza.
In October, relieved were Superintendents Jacob Crisostomo, Santiago Rapiz, Lino Dalisay, Rosauro Francisco and Leonardo Angcon as well as Chief Inspectors Joemarie Occeño and Rico Santotome.
