FOUR persons were caught on Tuesday, March 13, for their alleged involvement in illegal drug trade and illegal gambling in Danao City, Cebu.
Superintendent Jaime Quiocho, the city police chief, identified the drug personalities as Paulino Batiquin Barriga III, 37; Julito Quimbo Batucan, 30; Agnes Capoy Jayme, 33; and Ulyses Enriquez Banzon, 29.
Barriga was arrested in a drug bust in Barangay Poblacion at 3:26 p.m., yielding five small packs of "shabu."
Another drug bust in Barangay Guinacot at 4:52 p.m. led to the capture of Jayme and Banzon. Operatives seized 11 packs of "shabu" from both suspects.
At 3:15 p.m., the city police operatives, joined by Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Central Visayas personnel, caught Batucan, an alleged marijuana cultivator in Barangay Quisol. The suspect has a pending case for violating Section 16 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In Barangay Maslog, alleged illegal numbers game operator Flocelda Chuy Quiros, 37, was caught at 8:30 p.m. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
