5 Negrense cops reshuffled

TWO police chiefs and three other police officials were assigned to new posts effective February 7.

Senior Inspector Ronald Santillan, chief of Murcia Municipal Police Station, was replaced by Chief Inspector Roberto Indiape, deputy chief of San Carlos City Police Station.

Santillan was transferred to the Negros Occidental Provincial Maneuver Force Company while Indiape’s position was assumed by Chief Inspector Anthony Grande, who came from the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) headquarters.

Senior Inspector Leomel Gonzaga, chief of Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station, who is set to retire, was replaced by Senior Inspector Jerry Nacion, deputy chief of Bago City Police Station.

Chief Inspector Gary Alan Resuma, officer-in-charge of Cauayan Municipal Police Station, was promoted as acting police chief.

Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan, acting chief of Calatrava Municipal Police Station, was promoted as the town’s police chief.

Inspector Charmae De Paz, public information officer of Nocppo, said on Tuesday the reshuffling has nothing to do with performance, but was done so that certain police officials will not hold concurrent positions.”
